How A Trader Becomes an Investor (poem)

Jun 16, 19

Modified Pound Cost Averaging

because I’m crap

at trading crypto

and because the market’s

too volatile

as the whales

pump and dump.

They show me no mercy.

Their movements too extreme.

They aim to snatch bags

from my wakening hands.

I said I’m crap

but it’s not really about skill,

it’s about piles of capital

and not a whole lot else.

My resignation is reluctant

but I want to make money,

not piss it up against

the bulging green buy wall.

This hobby of mine

bears my son’s inheritance.

It’s my only key to freedom,

though this lock

has been jammed

by the big fish in this pond.

This is how a trader

becomes merely

an investor.
