Fees in btc are up and up. $3 USD was the average. I did compare the situation of the crowd that doesn't get affected or bothered with "first world country city CBD parking fees for cars".
These folks don't have to care to much. Likely they earn ten thousand dollars a month. So five dollars is not a big deal. Their lunch itself was forty dollars. Company expenses claim. So on and so forth.
The Bitcoin Cash network has taken a great leap forward with the introduction of the CashShuffle Protocol. For the first time, everyday users can mix their Bitcoin Cash and vastly improve their financial privacy at the click of a button.
CashShuffle is a fully decentralized coin mixing protocol that shuffles your Bitcoin Cash with other network participants. This shuffling process obscures your ...
I'd encourage you all to take a look at the maidsafe coin as well as the network they are building. The SAFE Network.
This tech is one of the reason I believe in decentralization and the new web. As I consider the present and the future and what it might look like giving people voices in places and ways that have not had them brings purpose and focus to the development of WEB3.0
The SAFE n...
It's great to have so much freedom on here.
I'd also like to be able to have friends, associates, or whatever, and be able to select which audiences I share my stuff to. Not everyone wants to see everything, nor do I necessarily want to share everything with everyone.
I'd love to even just be able to have posts that are Unlisted.
Maybe even encrypted with a password if I so choose.
Use DuckDuckGo for searching. Better than google. Google is stealing your data and filtering what they think you should see, based on political necessities.
Use Firefox, Brave, Tor or Epic browsers and never Chrome.
Use ProtonMail for mailing and never gmail. They only ask a username and a password and nothing more, which is amazing.
Never use your real details anywhere. Not worth it.
Some time ago I've read that privacy is a matter of consent.
privacy is about consent -- someone, the internet
It made me think. Yeah, it makes sense. If you don't give your consent to share certain information, and someone does it, then that's a violation of your privacy. And most services ask your consent, through privacy policies or the service's terms and agreements, which seem to recogniz...
I've written a bit about the Consolidating CoinJoin protocol I am developing for anonymizing Bitcoin Cash. A competing protocol, CashShuffle, is further along in its development cycle. Installing it is only for the technically competent, but if that's you, read on and learn how to install it and start anonymizing your Bitcoin Cash today!
A few things to keep in mind before getting started:
Some think (or like to pretend) there can only be one currency coin to "Rule Them All". I think it is possible that one coin will offer users so much more perceived value than all the other coins that everyone will switch. Possible?, yes. likely?, I don't think so. Many coin believers develop an almost religious connection to their favorite coins. Some coins will cater to different cultures, langu...
Make a new standard account with Electron Cash, securely store the seed, and set the derivation path as below. This article about making wallets with Electron Cash might help if you are not familiar with the process already.
- m/47'/145'/0' (to get payment code #0)
- m/47'/0'/0' (also reasonable if you prefer the classic Bitcoin path)
When your new account is created and op...
Can any content publishing platform survive without censorship?
This isn't a philosophical discussion of the merits and drawbacks of censorship. This is a discussion of reality and practical considerations. First, what is censorship?
Wikipedia cites the Oxford English Dictionary and ACLU when constructing the following definition:
"Censorship is the suppression of speech, publ...
I love Privacy and expect the new distributed crypto world will get it for finances, social media platforms, web searching, shopping online, etc.. It IS time we resist Big Brothers' permissionless info collection efforts. I believe DApps will change the balance soon.
I have always wanted my favorite cryptocurrency to have privacy built in. Now, I am not so sure it can get sufficient worldwide ad...

In my previous post, I hinted that Consolidationg CoinJoin is going peer-to-peer. This article will explore some of the technologies I’ll be incorporating to do that. If you’re a developer and want to follow along, you can view the code here. It’s just prototype code at this point, but fully-tested, proof-of-concept libraries have been successfully created to prove out all the concepts presented h...
One of the most fundamental but least intuitive concepts regarding Bitcoin is the “coin”. Most wallets show users a balance and a history of transactions, so it's normal for people to think that it works like a bank account. Isn't the motto “be your own bank”?
The “bank account” model works reasonably well for every day's usage but, even if you don't peek behind the curtain, you can see it break...
Over the last twenty to thirty years, the US courts have settled on the verdict that software code is equivalent to speech, free speech. Code is a human expression, just like talking, art, writing, or performing.
But that expression is under threat.
With the creation of cryptocurrencies, code is trespassing onto the highly regulated world of finance. Just as Cody Wilson forced the nation to re...
