I chose to title my first post here in this manner because I used to doubt that such a social network would ever come to fruition. Uncensored, focused on content value and community-driven? Impossible.
And yet, here we are. And I'm glad.
In today's day-and-age of clickbait titles, "fake news" and ever-increasing censorship, it's becoming increasingly hard to come across quality content, and voice your opinions without being silenced and judged for "wrongthink".
That's why, as a university student, junior developer and proponent of free (and quality) speech, I'm thankful to have been given the opportunity to witness the first steps of this emergent network, and see the value it will create. Needless to say, I sincerely hope that this project will be met with resounding success on all fronts, and that we will build a better social network for the future.
